So any more progress on this? any resolution yet found from your current tuner?
No resolution (as yet) I'm afraid. Insurance paperwork has been taking a while to go through it seems. Simon from Viezu has said that he wants to have another go at loading tune file using different connection though - hoping to tee something up with him to try in next few weeks, so will let you know how it goes.
Cheers

No experience with these specifically, however if you're going to replace the DP then most of the tuners recommend going to a 3" DP as best option for power increase vs. noise generated.
The 2.5" is quieter but you won't have as big a power gain as with a 3" system.
There's not a lot of benefit in going bigger (i.e. 3.5") unless you're going to put a significantly bigger turbo on and then it's going to be a noisy system.
If you can't find a 3" system locally for the Tiguan (Simon at Viezu should be able to help you out here), then I suggest that you buy a Golf R downpipe and take it to an exhaust shop and get them to modify it to fit.
Success at last! After many months and an extreme amount of patience (both from me and Simon at Viezu), my Tig has it's new ECU and they have finally sorted out the tuning/hesitation issue
Simon got the new file during the week and immediately organised to come down and put it on (4-1/2hr trip each way mind you). We were both elated (that hesitation issue was resolved) and a little disappointed at first, given that it didn't have the punch straight up we were both expecting/hoping for. Is certainly quick, and very smooth but the adaption period will tell the tale as to how good it is over next few weeks
Simon's new TCU (transmission control unit) tuning device that he also put on is a perfect addition and makes the gear changes smooth as silk and better able to handle the extra power/torque. It is only a test unit but once he has done some more trials I believe he is going to officially release them.
Yes lots to update on Tigs in terms of new mapping options and I am in talks with a new transmissions tuning brand too which will compliment the Viezu ECU tune side of things.
The new maps on the tigs are strong but smooth - and linear - even the hardcore race files. They are also taking a good few hundred KM to fully go through adaption - Tiggy1's Tig was much faster after even only about 20km of driving so plenty more to come out of it.
Will keep everyone up to date
Please email any questions as I hardly get time to come on the forums much !

Don't go 2.5 inch on the DP - it's just too small and completely pointless IMHO.
2.75 is ok, 3" is perfect. (even for bigger turbo set ups, although there can be benefit in going larger if you've got a huge turbo and don't mind more noise - which with 600hp you probably won't ...)
Catback is different - 2.5 is fine for stock turbo depending on its flow rate characteristics. Bigger turbo and you're into 2.75 being ideal at the least or a really big turbo you want a very good 2.75 or 3.0.
Noise is marginally increased at a cruise but give a more fruity note at WOT.
