Desperation after reading so many posts that don't give definitive answers. Can't separate the wheat from the chaff. Has anybody lifted front & rear suspension by around 20mm & upgraded shock absorbers to cope with sustained driving on corrugations. Not interested in H&R coil overs or mickey mouse solutions. Prefer to hear of solutions using Bilstein, Koni etc & Australian manufactured springs. Any contributors out there that want to stick to the subject?

Since the Tiguan is essentially a jacked-up Golf/Passat hybrid, using very much the same hardware as the Golf and Passat. Basically, all they've done is use a combination of spacers and thicker strut tops to gain the height. I'd just make a thicker set of spacers.
There's a thread in the Touareg section by Alex G, who has pretty much done the same thing to his Touareg. With the shocks, you might have to look overseas.

I have the set of spacers (front and rear) that I haven't used. I bought it from South African member of our forum.
You can have them for the price I bought them for plus postage if you like (I have to find the invoice).

Give me some history - what was your intention when you bought them? how by much did you expect to raise? why didn't you fit them? in the end, what option did you take? what's the material, cast, milled or synthetic?
