Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Osram 65 watts H7 Super Bright Halogen Bulbs - off road use only

Would like to hear feedback from members who have installed this halogen bulb. Can I replace my stock H7 bulb with this without "burning" my headlamp and related wiring?

    - - - - I was hoping to attach a photo but don't know how to do it on a forum like ours.

    Tiguan Spark Plugs

Are iridium spark plugs installed in the 2.0 TSI? Would changing the spark plug - hotter or colder, improve performance and fuel economy?

VW will have spent plenty of time selecting the standard plugs, unless yours were worn out, there'd be no measurable improvement in swapping them.

Yes you can use them with no problems.

I have them in my regular and high beam housing and have had no problems so far (2 years)

            Hi mate,
welcome to the Tig community! I have these in my low beams, but have Narva "Plus 100" in high-beam. The Osrams give much better "spread" than OE globes, but not so good over long distance IMO, hence why I got the Narva's for high. Same wattage as original, so no dramas with electrics either (very finicky in Tig's, as many will testify)
            Cheers

Yes, no Aussie sellers (that I'm aware of).

Osram ones are very white in my opinion.

+1 for the Phillips Xtreme. I run theses on all my cars
