Had my new tow bar installed and am extremely happy with it. I cant say more about the professionalism and quality of work by the guys at Cosmopolitan tow bars, especially by Jim.
The tow bar they installed is a Trailboss and after ringing around all of Sydney, they came out to be cheapest. $790 fully installed. I hope I dont sound like a salesman for them : ) Just a really happy customer
There was a little problem with the factory socket where the tail light plugs into, being rusted and not getting good contact with the electrics, so the right blinkers didnt work afetr they put it all back together. Jim called me over to have a look at the rusted socket pins and we looked at ways water could have gotten into the tail light, and into the concealed socket. Absolutely no way. So we deduced it could have been already rusted when they installed it. By the way my tiguan is brand new done only 3000km and always garaged.
Jim took it straight down to VW down the road and had them clean it. Pluged it back in and all electrics work fine again. Jim told me to take it to VW and have them replace it, which I will do on my first service.
