Thanks for the updates again mate. I'm seriously contemplating the WALK to compliment my springs in cornering. Had an overseas visitor not too long ago and had a drive down Great Ocean Rd. was very fun driving. I always felt that the Tiguan's handling was a lot better than most SUV's but after the GOR run, I felt I wanted just a bit more handling. )) it's never enough isn't it.

Have had my Eibach springs on for just over a week now & think they are a great improvement. Recommend them!

30 odd mm lower looks great, no harshness over average bumpiness, i would agree that ride comfort has improved a bit or no worse at least, unless hitting bigger bumps. What impresses me most is that the front-end lift & rear-end 'squatting' with 'spirited' acceleration & braking has been quite noticeably reduced. (no anti-lift kit, springs alone do a great job!)

On the down side, had them installed by 'a reputable, nationwide suspension chain', who scuffed up the paint on all the bolt holes on my wheels with the rattle-gun...

No, you're right (never enough), but without paying squillions for a Porsche Cayenne or something I reckon it's excellent for ANY car let alone an SUV. Was going to get the Whiteline ones myself, but weren't available at the time due to manufacturing problem so got the Superpro ones instead. I think the WALK ones are better option (although more expensive) as they are complete bush and bracket assy so easier to fit and perhaps more effective?! The Superpro ones are just bush replacement so have to take it somewhere that can press OE bushes out and fit them (I took mine to Fulcrum as they did the springs and alignments as well). Have to be oriented correctly in housing too, as they are eccentric to give the increase in caster. Not convinced they have them correct either as they fitted them pointing straight down, whereas I'm sure instructions I read on-line show them pointing outwards. They're the professionals though so one would presume they know what they're doing Seems OK and more pointy in corners (which is apparently the benefit of the extra +ve caster) so guess it must be right.
        Cheers

I know how u feel Matt. I did it to myself in one of the bolt beds by using the factory wrench. BIG MISTAKE w the VMR/GTC's. Although its not a big curb rash like scratch, it is still noticeable n feel-able. I had to go over to Total Tools to get a new wrench n socket to fit it in.

When I fitted my tyres, a 'reputable tyre chain' did a good job of informing me that they notice their standard wrenches wld scratch the bolt bed, and therefore used a smaller socket to fit my wheels n tyres. Kudos to them.

Thanks Tiggy for the additional info on the WALK. I might bite the bullet and get it.... Hmmmmm.... Not sure if I'll be 'overdoing' it although I do feel jus a bit more handling ard corners wld be better.

Just one more thing mate, do u have a sway bar on ur car too? I read somewhere recently but can't rem who it was, who had a Neuspeed sway bar snap on his Tig. Then replaced w a H&R 24mm sway bar. Wondering if that was u or someone else. Lol

              Hi mate,
no - didn't get swaybars. Preferred to leave stock so not too twitchy. Doesn't roll enough to need them IMO anyway.
              Cheers

I thought I'd dig up this old thread as I've just bought some Whiteline front and rear swaybars plus an Anit-Lift Kit... went a bit overboard on a 20% off on-line sale the other week. Got it all delivered for $680 - bonus!

Now question is whether to go and get fitted + wheel alignment??? or whether this stuff is simple enough to DIY install.
