Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Interior

    Has anyone optioned the corn silk beige interior? Any comments?

    Trying to decide what combination, and I'm thinking cherry red or night blue metallic wit the beige interior.

    Local dealer has limited stock so can't really see it.

    The car with the light interior looks nice, but it could be a nightmare to keep it clean.

      Apparently the leather will absorb the blue dye from jeans so just be aware of that.

      Havig said that i think dark cars with light iteriors look the best so i would go for midnight blue.

        I'll be going back today to see if they have the interiors and colours that I want on other models.

        And yeah, I was thinking about the lighter colour being hard to keep clean. Lucky for me, I do not have kids and by the time I do, probably won't care as much if it gets dirtied a little. Haha

          I was informed the same thing that the light coloured leather may absorb the denim jeans colour by my dealer. Lucky I'm not a fan of leather.

            Hi All, I ordered the night blue tig with corn beige leather....very prestigious look and rare on the roads. My last car was a platinum grey Jetta with beige leather. We loved the car and whilst we don't have kids yet, we have a puppy that runs in and out the back seat. The leather was not too difficult to maintain although it did need a bit more care. We did not find any cloth dyes running off onto seat. A bi of warm soapy water was all it too occasionally if a stain was found. We had the jetta for four years and sold it almost as new.

              BMan, do you happen to have any pics? This is the combination I am leaning towards.

                Unfortunately I don't have pics of the night blue and beige....but can post pics of the jetty if you want. Remember beige interior in the tig now has black floor and mats.
