Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Best Brand of Clear Gloss Spray Coating

Have tried searching but results show some threads that has 100's of pages on them.... So I apologize if someone on this forum has already mentioned this. But does anyone know what is a good glossy clear coat spray that one can get to go over VHT Night Shade?

Been to Autobahn, Repco and Super Cheap Auto, but not sure what to look out for. If anyone has any recommendations, or any ones NOT to use, it's much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

    Hi Haywire
I have used a clear coat product called U-Pol.It is a professional clear coat that you can purchase from a auto paint specialist.Dont bother with Supercheep or anyone like that go to a specialised shop that tints paint for the auto spraying industry.
The can I bought is 500ml and from memory cost me $20-$25.Good stuff though.Made in the U.K.

Perhaps talk to the guys at carcareproducts.com.au, Pier was really helpful when I went in to get a paint protection kit.
