Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Retro fitting OEM front fog lights to 2008 Tiguan

    Hi there
Has anyone managed to do the above? I have found an eBay dealer in the USA selling a pair of OEM Hella fog lights suitable for Eos/Tiguan for USD180 + postage I have seen light switches on a number of other eBay sites so that appears to be no problem. My concern is does the existing car wiring loom have the wiring in it or would one have to buy a separate loom for this and install it? My car is a June 2008 103TDI manual
    Thanks

I'm sure that it was discussed in the past and there would be not just one thread about it. Search is your friend.

    The wiring should be there.

If you can't find them here try this (I did mine 4 years ago BUT watch the fact that mine's a track and field model)

Also, no the wiring isn't there as far as I'm aware.

      Cheers

Thanks Derek I had a good look this avi and you are right there is no wiring there. I would have thought VW would use one std loom for each model. I guess I will strike that upgrade off the list and make sure it's on the list when I order the next one.
