Is there anyone out there that has done the above. I have read up on a number of VW forums and it appears to be a pretty simple task if your car is a late 2008 model upwards and already has a RCD310 unit preinstalled.
My TIguan is one if the first ones in Aus which I picked up in early June 2008 and it came with the older radio installed. My concern is will I have to also update the Can BUS to prevent battery discharge and secondly must I also purchase an adaptor for the car aerial as I have noted in some forums they appear to have different connections.
I have also being researching the net and there appears to be 2 types of RCD units one made by Delphi for VW China and the other by Bosch for the EU market where there is RDS DAB radio services. Has anybody got experiences of these units and advice which is the better unit to have bearing in mind in live in Rural Qld Any comments on this would be most appreciated
