  • 2012 Tiguan Pricing and Track & Field Availability?

    Hi Guys,

I am interested in purchasing the new 2012 Tiguan, specifically the 132TSI (Auto) variant. I want to get the usual options like:
    - Metallic paint [$700]
    - Sat Nav [$3000]
    - Leather [$4000]
    - Bi-Xenon [$2100]
    - Fog-Lights [$400]
    - Comfort Package [$1000]
    - 18' Wheels [$2300]
    - Adaptive Chassis Control (Instead of the sunroof) [$1650]
And with the car included it totals to:
    $56,215 (on carsales.com.au)

This is a wee bit over my budget, are there be reasonable discounts for the car?

Also will the track & field model be available in Australia for the 2012 model?

    Thank You.

    All that?

You might be better off optioning up a 155. I understand the leather and satnav come at a cheaper price on this model.

Yeah, I have checked out the 155TSI and am very much considering it, thank you.

to the last poster could you explain what RNS510 is please?

        Thanks.

Oh and how much discount can i get if the car totals up to 61k?

I think you'll find that he is referring to the fact that the SatNav (RNS510) is also a cheaper option if adding it to a 155TSI vs any other model. Although that was mentioned by the previous poster also.

I know this is heresy, but if you have approx 61K to spend, you are well within Range Rover Evoque territory.

Volkswagen Australia has thus far not considered the "track & Field" for the Australian market - god knows why. Well, the official version is that no-one really takes the Tiguan truly off-road and therefore it isn't worth doing....

I personally like the look of it but guess I can't get it i still enjoy the look of the normal model.

Also if options and car total to 61k can I get around a 10% d/c on that?

              Thanks.

Unlikely that you get a "decent" discount unless you have access to the corporate program. Not much stock around - we have 5 left & they are suppose to last 'til March when the next lot arrives (supply & demand).
