Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Damn! looks tuff!! I like!!!!

Probably a stupid question but do you have an aftermarket exhaust setup? (excluding tips) Scratching my head wondering how you put quads on a stock exhaust system??

Giving me some ideas for when my Tig finally lands in Oz.....

I got the rotors fitted today with the Dixcel front pads too.
Will see if it will produce significantly less dust.
Initial brake feel is a lot different in that DBA Slotted rotors and Dixcel pads seem to be less sensitive to pedal effort. I remember the OEM brake combo was very touchy and sensitive.
Have to 'bed' in the brakes so will write another report in 500kms.

      Only quad tips im afraid!
      I'm too old for noise...
I will post some pictures of the set up for you soon...very good work by Liverpool Exhaust. They made both sides of the quads work meaning the right hand side is not a dummy tip!

Gotta say ... like and know where you're coming from in terms of showing nicer rotors through all that empty space.

If you haven't noticed, I have the same problem with my wheels also.

But not sure whether you have achieved your goal, cause they do look kinda small still and therefor not as effective on your 22" wheels.

Sorry ... but it is very easy for me to say you need bigger rotors & brakes from here.

        Next X'mas perhaps?
