Hi there all!
I have joined the VW forum in SG called VAGSG and a few mates online are organizing a Group Buy ("GB") to get a cool set of HID with DRL's conversion for the factory halogen ones on the pre-facelifted Tig models. We have to get a minimum of 5 sets in order to get a discount. Here are some info and links for your perusal for anyone interested. I, myself, am particularly keen on getting it!!! Hence, doing some 'marketing' here to hopefully get enough ppl to join in!!!

In a nutshell, this is quoted from the 2nd link:
"Price buying direct (before installation) :
~SGD 780 (quoted to me last time when i wanna get a set from them)
GB price ~ SGD 690 with min 5 sets (i will forward their invoice to you as ref, depend on forex USD vs SGD)"
Some of the forum members there who have purchased this unit from China, said it's pretty good quality and that it's simply a plug and play unit for their so-called 'Non-Sport' version (which has the standard halogen reflector lamps, as opposed to the 'Sport' version which comes with factory projector lamps - apparently, I was told).
Question: is there such a thing as 'Sport' vs 'Non-Sport' version in AU models???
If you have any questions, please feel free to join the VAGSG forum and post your questions there - as I'm probably not the best person to ask (better to ask those who have already installed it). Because we are in AU, we might have to see how much the freight costs will be from China. This person already has the contact in China to organise this, so we might as well piggy back them!!!
