Daytime LED lights for Tiguan???

I would love to fit Daytime LED lights on my 2009 Tigaun.

Has anyone seen if this is available from an aftermarket company? Or at least a multifit kit that could be installed under the headlights perhaps....

For a clean OEM look and proper white coloured light, most get the proper Audi S6 DRL and fit on their VDubs (mainly Golfs, Jettas & Passats).






But unfortunately there's no room anywhere on Tig bumper or grille to fit this.

But have no idea how they got it inside.

Have had a look myself in the past and the whole headlight looks impenetrable.

However it might be different with non-xenons.

What a coincidence, I actually saw one yesterday. The LEDs were definitely inside the headlight housing. So I'm sure there something out there! Unless it was a custom made...it was really good quality like audi quality if I dare say so

Just out of curiosity, I am clueless when it comes to electrics, if u were to get aftermarket headlamps w LED's that are not bright enough, is there a way to change the bulbs w a direct swap or must something be changed to be able to support brighter LED bulbs?

My first thought would be - its not that easy to 'just swap' the LED bulbs. But I have no idea if that could be done at all.

Does anyone know a good Auto-electrician who does VW on a constant basis in VIC or if anyone here is pretty good w VW headlamps and electrical stuff?

There is another thread about an aftermarket headlight unit which has inbuilt DRL ... however from past experience messing around with headlights, it is not as simple of just fit and plug and play. Apparently the Tig headlight is easy enough to replace however i think that there will be issues with the electrics which you will have to tap into which will be a bit messy on a vw i would imagine.

Yea. Apparently needs some sort of module and harness to handle a higher/stronger bulb so that I won't flicker. But I have no idea.

Many people (on diff cars) remove things like the yellow blinker lenses from within headlights & replace them with clear ones. To do this 9 times out of 10 you put the whole headlight assy in your oven so it softens the bonding between the exterior lense & the assy backing.
Im not saying this is how the tiggy is done, but after having a look imo it has to be one of the methods.

I believe VW Started using heat resistant adhesive from about 2008 onwards so bear in mind you may end up toasting your light for no reason.
