Good news about the Bluetooth and MDI they were expensive options. Disappointing about the camera and off road though. From memory the prices were:

I doubt they'll be tinted but I hope for future buyers they are.

No front window tints, no mention of flappy paddles and pretty much the same limited amount of options dictated by VGA (minus offroad & RVC previously available)!


Still not clear though, which model Tiguan we're getting!

But my bet would be the same "rest on our laurels" 18 degree version!


Now if you feel like Oliver Twist and want to ask for more.

Don't bother ... cause we pretty much confirmed (today) the usual "GET FCUKED! JUST LEAVE YOUR MONEY AT THE COUNTER" response!

Would have thought it unlikely, seeing the off-road package is being dropped, that you would get the 28º off-road front end. Interesting that the Americans are ONLY getting the 28º front end (at least initially anyway), wonder if they'll be offered the off-road package to go with it ?? To date they've have the 18º front and NO off-road.

Funny enough we use to get 18º front and off-road as an option.

I have it! Have never used it!

Maybe one day when I start driving on the footpath and come across rough patches of pedestrians in the CBD!

It's excellent where I live, we get some snow in town most years and every year it's on the passes and high roads around us and that's where it really comes into its own. I do use it "off-road", well on dirt tracks in the hills as well, but it's the slippery stuff where it really makes a difference. I think the Northern States in America and Canada could really get some use for it though many people drive too fast for it to work (it cuts out at about 20kph) so it's no use for anybody that thinks they're going to travel at the same speed they always did on the road, but in snow or ice, those people will still "crash and burn" !!!

Nope. Above the number plate on the boot lip. Well concealed and no moving parts. Excellent coverage from this position.

I'm pretty sure the camera will return as soon as they can get reliable supplies out of Japan again, or resource from somewhere else, hopefully they'll be leaving the wiring in place for an easy retro-fit.

End of October, really?? I thought this was expected in Europe, however here I have heard realistically December / January until delivery

Saw a red one just drive past my house yesterday!

Definitely apart from the tail light and the front grille, everything looked exactly the same.

Probably works for VWA, I've seen new shape jetta's before they were released and same with the touraeg... Lucky employees get nice new cars before any one else... Maybe I should work there...
