Diesel Engine Cover

Does anyone know how (with pics would be great!) to remove the plastic cover that sits atop the engine? I'm a little concerned I might break something by forcing it without knowing exactly how it comes off! Many thanks....

It's held on at all four corners.

Pull upwards in stern fashion at each corner.

Thanks for the info mate, I'll give it a go on the weekend. My wife has a 2009 Polo GTI; do you happen to know if the same method applies to the 1.8 petrol turbo? Cheers

I can't remember if they have a cover. It's been a while since we've had one through the workshop.
