Engine Workshop Fault - 09 Tiguan

Can anyone help... my wife tells me that she gets an orange Engine Workshop Fault " warning light which appears intermittently on her 09 Tiguan.

Does anyone know is this is a serious problem or a just a faulty warning light. The light only flashes on very quickly and has appeared 3 times over the last few weeks. Each time I drive it to check....it never comes on....

Any suggestions, before I book it in with the dealer?

Exhaust DPF sensor most likely. There is a thread or several in the forum.

Having this may help........ VCDS is better but can't wrong having one of these too.....
