  • Flap just beneath steering wheel

Not sure if this has been covered before, but anyway, I was washing and vacuuming out my tiggy on the weekend and my 6 yr old son was eagerly helping with the vacuuming, and being 6 yrs old he can get right into every nook and cranny.

Anyway he's under the steering wheel and he notices this flap just to the right of the steering column below the dash so he opens it. There appears to be nothing in it and no ability to actually store anything in it.

    Anyone know what it's for?

Another storage spot if it's the same thing i am thinking of.

I usually hide my sunglasses in there if i am leaving them in the car.
    Pretty small space though.

Ah, yes, it makes sense now. Thanks, although I agree with Team V....it would rattle like crazy with coins in it.

I put my petrol receipts and fuel cards in there, most of the coins seem to stay in place if you use $1 and $2 coins

The holder is made for Euro coins I beleive, so that is why our coins do not exactly fit in the slots....
