Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Bi-Xenon lights not swiveling

    Hi Guys

My Tiguan 147 with the optional Bi-xenon lights does not swivel during corning only the cornering light (secondary bulb) turns on and off. Should the the Bi-Xenon lights swivel with the steering angle as well ?

I got a feeling that my car's Bi-Xenon light's swivel function have not been turn on from factory.

    Cheers

To my knowledge they don't. The cornering light is the additional bulb that comes on - but I could be wrong (I generally am).

hum.... I know the Bi-Xenon lights can swivel because when I first turn on the headlight every time, it swivel during it's self checks at start up.
Mine just does not swivel while I'm driving.

It swivel, just. You need to pay extra attention to notice it. I didn't notice it the first time either.

think the swivelling on start up is just the self levelling system

I had same problem before as well.
              Go In mfd.
              Click on lights
Make sure travel mode is unticked.
              Select corner lights.
              Then done.

Thanks for your advise, but I dont have the option of untick travel mode.
                In the lights option menu:

                Coming Home Lights
                Leaving Home Lights
                Footwell lights
                Lane change lights

Nothing being display about corner lights in the menu.
I'm going to call the service center tomorrow.
