    Extra Clock in the Tig's Dash?

    Hey,
    Apologies if this has been covered previously, but is anyone aware of a Digital Clock manufactured to fit in the 'Card Holder' slot (ie. removing the Card Holder as I never use it anyway) on the left above the CD/Radio Unit?
    My better half has complained that she can't actually see the time on the Clock in the MFD display between the Speedo & Tacho, so thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions (other than 'wear a watch' you wags...)

      Isn't there a digital clock displayed in the head unit?

      There's certainly one (I've just noticed admittedly today) in the RNS510.

        Unfortunately we didn't (regrettably in hindsight!) stretch the extra $3-$4k for the RNS510, so we're stuck with the RCD310 for now (looking at the RNS510's on eBay which seem to be a good deal).

        So far as I can tell from playing with the Unit itself and reading the Manual, it doesn't have any facility to display the time. Bit of an oversight maybe?

        Have done a fair bit of searching on the Net, and haven't found hide nor hair of any accessory clocks of the kind I was talking about. Transporter, I think you're right!

          Alternatively you can look for a cheap RCD510 as I did ($220 incl. postage from ebay), since the car is used only to go to work, for shopping and in summer a casual trip to the beach. The difference is a day and night.

            Was going to ask, does the RCD510 display the time? I can't remember!

            I'm sure there's a few sitting in members' garages collecting dust.

                Quite frankly, the price Transporter got is not current market prices.
                That's how much you can expect to pay just for the bluetooth kit.
                From memory, he mentioned his unit had signs of being tampered with.


                BTW, any feedback on that bluetooth kit Transporter?
