Hi All,

New 147 is now in Brisbane and I should be taking delivery in the next couple of weeks.

As I'm now starting to receive goodies for my "Mod Box", I thought I should start up a thread to track my progress and share pics etc.

The box of goodies I have purchased so far:

RNS510 LED Version C (With *) Video in Motion software upgrade applied by seller
RNS510 Australian V3 Maps DVD - seller supplied with unit (burnt copy)
Ross Tech Micro VAGCOM (VCDS) Cable (From Dub Addiction)
OEM Sharan Antenna Replica (From Dub Addiction)
OEM VW Torch (Charge via Cig Lighter)
OEM Tiguan Alloy Scuff Plates

Thinking of grabbing the Ziza 3 Pack LED Kit (Citilights,Side Markers, Lic plate)
Volkswagen Tiguan 4 Motion 2.0T > Lighting > LED > ES#252858 Ziza LED 3 Pack Combo - Buy Together And Save! - ZZAKIT3

Then hoping to run the LED City-lights/parkers as DRL's

So for now it is just a waiting game...

Would have to say those LEDs are pricey! Up there with APR.

Besides, sidemarkers are an US thing and not for the rest of world.

Yeah they are pretty exxy, Id rather pay for error free LED's though.

Thanks for the heads up RE the side markers. Ill just grab the 2 pack now.

Nice box of goodies you have there, what is this Video in Motion software upgrade you speak of? first i've heard of it.

There is a Diagnostic tool that is available (Costs about $1k for the kit) that applys a software level change (firmware upgrade friendly) that allows you to have Video in Motion without killing your speed to RNS signal, meaning you ge tthe best of both worlds.

The EBAY seller I purchased it from applied the VIM upgrade to all units before sending them out.

I believe I read a post the other day from Transporter saying that he is looking at getitng one of these RNS Diag tools so her can apply the patch for a cost. Going rate is abut $70 per upgrade.

Pretty sure this stops your car being roadworthy and then technically voids your comprehensive insurance... So the last thing I would do is put it in writing

Are you able to share more info in regards to your statement RE VIM voiding comprehensive insurance? is this based on experience?

RE how much I paid on EBAY: paid $899 for unit plus $75 shipping - agreed with seller to supply a copy of the V3 DVD incase I wanted to upgrade the FW in the future and needed to reload the maps.
