After a lot of tyre kicking, just put a deposit down on a late 2014 MY15 132TSI.



I'm a previous MkIV Golf and A3 AP owner, and my shortlist was reasonably VAG heavy with (petrol only) A4 quattro, Skoda Octavia and Scout, and Golf wagons in the mix. The Tiguan won out in the end being pretty good value, a good drive, DQ500, and rear sear room for my growing kids. Happy to sacrifice the boot space as we have another older car for those occasions where we need to fill the boot with more than the Tiguan will hold. MY15 with nicer seats, EDL. RCD510 and reversing camera was a sweetener over MY14 ones with the auto parking.

This will be interesting-I read the other intros with interest, but I am fitting into my gender stereotype and am not at all tech-minded, my husband is the car man. I just love my car. I have had my MY13 103TDI Pepper Grey Tiguan for 6 months. It originally had 30 000km on it. It came with 20" gloss black rims with low profile wheels on it, I loved how they looked buuuuut they were not suitable to drive on my deeply potholed country roads so they are off and another set (purchased from someone with a TSI I think?) put on. My windows are tinted crazy dark and I can't see how they are legal...but it is a feature I like. I am getting used to the park assist, yet still like to freak passengers out by taking my hands off the wheel and letting the Tig park itself. I use my Tiguan for my daily drive and also to tow my horse float with one pony on board.
