  • upgrading to 18" wheels and tyres - what about the spare?

do i have to change the spare due to the rim and tyre size difference?

I'm currently running the stock 16" wheels and tyres.

Whilst i'm at it, is Tempe Tyres a reputable company to purchase from? seems the only place i can find from the country who wants to help me find the right rims for my tiguan.

Tempe is fine my rims n tyres came from them and all good. Just make sure you get a reputable brand of tyre and not the no name chinese ones.

You won't need to change the spare as long as you don't change the overall diameter of the wheel/tyre combo. Any decent wheel shop should make sure your new combo is within 2% of the original diameter. If you're going 18"s you should be looking at something like 235/50/18 tyres, ensure the load rating of the tyre is up to the task too.
