LED lighting on my Tiguan.

Hi all, I decided not to purchase the bi xenon headlights when I ordered my tiguan. I opted for the standard halogen units which I have now 'upgraded' buy adding LED sidelights and Philips bluevision h7 bulbs. Total cost has been approx £40. The LED sidelights will last years but I reckon the h7 bulbs will have to be replaced every 1000 miles.
Let me know what you think.










I purchased some 18 smd Led number plate lights yesterday which I found extremely hard to source (due to issues with Canbus error warning system) but hopefully these will work well.
I will upload pics later next week.

I got them off ebay.

The bulbs have built in resistors to overcome the OBC error.

Hi

I'm also interested in the LED park lights - although a little confused. According to this site the parking lights are type 3457a whereas the 'side markers' are type 2825 (which is the type you have replaced).

Which lights on the Tig are the parkers and which lights are the side lights? I know this might be obvious, however I am struggling to make sense of things at the moment (this isn't the only thing...)

Jeepers! I must have either asked a really dumb question or confused the living daylights out of everyone with that one...

I think I will order the lights and see what happens because according to the immensely interesting, highly detailed...yawn... Wiki article they are know as 'front sidelights' in UK English. This probably explains my confusion as they are not sidemarkers.

I might go and write an article on paint drying...
