    bumpety........

assuming we are all still on for this and date is set as the 26th? Should be great.

Mind you my car will be coming with some nice scratches, dropped the kayak down the side of it last w/e - on well.......

nothing too terrible, but base coat showing thru in a number of places

Still I bought the car to use it, so how sad too bad never mind.

Still on for Saturday morning 26 March.
I am going to do a trial run this week to see if the path we are taking is in good condition and if there are any good spots for photos/food.

Feel free to invite other non Tig cars if you wish guys, just so long as we get to meet the Tiguan owners and get some shots together.

I just read about that, bit of a shame.
We should have another one later in the year.

I have the day off so I am doing the test run this morning to check it all out.
          Will report back later today.

Okay, just made it back about 35 minutes ago.

            Pro's:
The path we are taking is awesome, especially the road from the Highway to Murwillumbah and the road from Tyalgum to Nerang.
Fuel economy for the trip totalled 8.0L/100km and i was giving it a thrashing through those mountain roads.
            - I actually saw avg 6.2L/100km on the way down to the BP meeting point.
Very scenic roads with some nice twists and turns.
            - All of the corners could be taken at 20km over the "proposed safe limit" yellow signs.
            - Also just before the Nerang - Murwillumbah road there is an awesome tree tunnel which could make for some nice shots.

            Cons:
The amount of places to pull off and get some photos is limited.
The show and shine cafe is quite small, there is a few other cafe's along the way (Springbrook and Numinbah) so we can always just press on further.
There were police at the bottom of the range on the range on the road to Murwillumbah.
Bloody slow drivers in twisty sections (this means you stupid bluecare car who was doing 30km under the speed limit and took up the whole road when there was an area that I could overtake!)

There were 2 or 3 sections where roadworks were being completed but these were all minor works and should be finished by the time we have our run.
There is a set of roadworks near Nerang that will still be occuring but as it will be a saturday it shouldn't be a problem.

All up though it was a great drive, really fealt like you were pushing it and the corners were awesome!
Can't wait to run it again.

                    IMPORTANT UPDATE

Here is the final itinerary and times for your perusal.
The course has basically been swapped around so we will be meeting at Nerang and driving south through the scenic rim.
We will be leaving from Arthur Earl Park at 8:45am so if you are running late you can catch us up at Valley View Cafe.

Map for the route can be found here:
Nerang Connection Rd to O'Connor St, Tugun QLD 4224 - Google Maps

                    Itinerary:
Meet at Arthur Earl Park (8:30am), leave at 8:45am
Drive to Valley View Cafe (coffee stop)
Drive to Show & Shine Deli Cafe - Bray Park via Tyalgum (another coffee stop)
Drive to Tugun (Nerang) for final goodbyes and drive home.

Feel free to bring your camera's along.
I will be going to the Beach for a swim afterwards.

Hopefully you can make it Corey.
I want to feel those mountains shake and hear the echo's from your exhaust note.

Will no doubt be dodging potholes left, right & centre

Per my last post, I need to bring the kids and unfortunately our youngest has quite a fever, so not sure if I am coming now, not looking great (oh well......). Still kids are amazing and she may bounce back overnight.

Shame as I had the jcubeds spacers installed today, so done for the cruise. Happy with them, a noticeable difference in clearance. Hoping we could get a pic of a normal, raised and a lowered tig together. Maybe not this time.

Even if she is getting better I may need to meet you guys at the Show and Shine Deli or at another section en route. Team V have PM'd you with my mobile no., if you can text me yours.

So if I miss you guys tomorrow, my apologies and have a great trip

That's a shame Jimbo, you could just leave her behind
Or say the clean mountain air will be good for her.
Hopefully we'll see you there and i will reply to your pm now.
