Golf parts that fit our Tiguans

Never quite understood why our top spec Tigs aren't quite as equipped as their top spec counterparts in the Golfs.


Anyhow here's my attempts at correcting this wrong:

Shark fin antenna



Aluminium pedals




NOTE: All these were taken from the Mk5 Golf GTI parts bin (except footrest).


Now VAG ... stop being a tight@$$ and give us the equivalent chrome flat bottom steering wheel with DSG paddles!

Not easily plug and play.
You have to swap out the airbag as the Tig one has a different mounting bracket.

It was done on vortex and there is a guide on mytiguan as well i believe.

Correct BUT it wasn't a DSG gearbox it was linked to, don't know how that will effect things ?

Yes ... I want more value for my over-priced 125TSI, besides just a 147TSI badge.

Aussie, can I ask where you got your led gear from? Do they have the inbuilt resistors? I've been toying with the idea of inserting a row into the headlights. They have the perfect location across the top.

Just eBay mate and yes ... with in-built resistors.

Have also changed most of the interiors bulbs to LED.
But they can just be normal LEDs as no errors are detected.

Yep and with no fugly bee sting sticking out behind it like those with factory Sat Nav!

For the Offroaders

So is this part.

So when you hook the wheel end behind a rock - very little clearance here - and bend it - or when all the paint has been chipped off the leading edge by stones - get a Golf/Jetta 5/6, Audi A3, Touran or SEAT part from your local broker for $50.

The left and right sides are identical, although the higher level part, which includes the rubber stone guard - which comes in a left and right - will be different. Hence the close-up of what to look for.
