    Yeh, it is not easy to get a good shot there, I will use a spotlight tomorrow and take a new pictures of the arrangement between the engine and the radiator. Luckily wife is working night shifts only and she still has Forester, should she need to drive somewhere further during a warmer day.

      Just an update.

      The a/c hose was replaced today at Solitaire Automotive. In and out in less than 2 hours - I'm happy with that.

      It's good to have an air-con working again.

          Yes, anything that fails on your car during the warranty is covered by the warranty, unless it was abused or not used properly. VW even covers the batteries for 3 years. I had battery in my T5 which failed in second year, they replaced it at no cost to me.
