Part number needed for MY2011 Tiguan MDI??

Hi all,

I am trying to get my hands on an MDI for my Tiguan which is MY2011, from what I understand they are fitted in the glovebox?

Can someone kindly let me know what the actual MDI part number is that I should be looking for? My friend has access to Vagcom and will code it for me if necessary if that makes sense.

Yep, same on mine, but if my memory serves me correct, I thought the dealer gave me the option of either the centre console or the glovebox??

Well I thought they were in the console as well, I spoke to a dealer friend and he mentioned that the MY2011's are in the glovebox.

Can anyone confirm this??

Also do you guys have the part numbers of the MDI ? I'm guessing it might be difficult to get them because they were factory installed...

You can search via this UK dealership website. They have a comprehensive database of parts with pics.

Have actually purchased from them before.

And if you do go down this route, remember not to pay the 17.5% VAT (being a non-resident).

I have a 2011 TDi Tig and factory-fitted MDI - mine is in the Centre Console and wasn't asked if I wanted it in the Glove Box.

So far as I can tell, the Part No. for it is 36219 but check elsewhere too as I'm not 100% sure )

AFAIK, the MDI still comes in the centre console from the factory, but if you get it dealer fitted, they slap it in the glovebox. That's what ended up happening with our MY11 tig, anyway.
