With that dosh you could be at stage 2 + other mods (springs, wheels, good rubber etc)
It most definitely doesn't get my vote for "BFYB mods".

But merely offering another avenue to burn your money.

Went down that route with my previous car, huge rims, bodykit etc. At the end of the day, you are inside the car and won't see it that much while driving.

Agree with Team V, focus more on mods that you can 'feel', chip tuning, suspension even audio upgrade will be well worth it.

You didn't say, if you have DSG, if you have, the price is ok, if not, it is still ok by me. I prefer good feeling from whole buying car experience, rather than focusing on bargaining to much. I went to the dealer ordered car and months after I bought it I received check in mail from Solitaire Automotive for $1000.00 saying "discount".
Mind you, I got the car for fair price when I compared to the price that some other forum members paid.

MDI can be fitted after purchase, but you can still ask dealer if they can fit it before you pick the car up (that's what I would do).

Thanks for the reply, Ive had a really busy last couple of weeks (company is moving office buildings ) so I couldnt reply... I heard on the radio that there is a promotion where participating dealers are offering $2000 of genuine acccessoires (inc. fitting costs, which varies from dealers to dealers) so I contacted the sales person and renegotiated the following deal:

            Black MY11 125TSI DSG Tiguan +
            - Fog lights,
            - Metallic paint,
            - Comfort package,
            - Rear parking sensors,
            - Window tinting
            - Car mats
            - MDI and
            - Molded Boot Liner
            - Dynaudio 300W Premium Audio System

for the same price of $39980 drive away, which IMO is a VARY good deal!!

But delivery has been slightly delayed, the estimated arrival date is now mid Feburary instead of the end of January

That is a very decent price.
              Congratulations on a bargain.

VWTiguan ... you might want to double check that last option again!

AFAIK and from memory the Dynaudio is no longer an option for the Tiguan.

In fact, I had to change that option (last minute) to ACC instead.

Anyhow, I hope this is just an honest mistake!

Or have they also tried to sell you the following options:
                - paddles on the steering wheel;
                - 4motion (instead of FWD);
                - space saver spare tyre & tyre jack.

Apparently there is some production delay with Tiguans at the moment. I ordered mine in October (103TDI, Bi-xenon, DSG, Park Assist, MDI) and was initially told it would be here in early Feb. I received an email yesterday telling me the expected delivery date was now 30 March!

Wow reading about all these delays has made me appreciate how lucky I was.

I went in to my dealer early last week for the initial inspection/test drive - and now I take delivery of my shiny new 103tdi next week!

The RNS510 installation guide can be found here:

Just note that Step 5 is differnet and the covers can be completely removed as we have no passenger airbag connection there.

Be sure to take some pictures for us when you get it.
Luck you only had to wait that long.

I am surprised they actually had a blue one coming in, i have only ever seen 2 other blue ones on the road.

Also hit up the detailing section to ask about a leather protectant/shampoo/nourisher etc.

Wow, thats probably the deal of the century.. I paid the same for my 125TSI DSG but without the sensors, matts, tinting, boot liner and the premium audio system. I thought I got a fair deal after negotiating for 30min to $4500 off the rrp drive away price... that's after i went to this other dealer who are refuse to sell one any where near the 40k mark!!
Tiguan MY11 Pepper Grey DSG MDI, Comfort Pack, Fogs.... APR Stage 3...I WISH!!
