The Official Just Purchased a MY11 VW Tiguan

Hey,

I just purchased a Black MY11 125TSI Tiguan with fog lights, metallic paint, comfort package, rear parking sensors, window tinting and a set of mats for $39980 drive away. It also has the updated gear stick and steering wheel. I was wondering if this was the right price or did I pay too much? Expected arrival date is end of Jan to mid Feb.

Also, just wondering if the MDI is worth it and is it too late to get it after delivery?

You didn't say, if you have DSG, if you have, the price is ok, if not, it is still ok by me. I prefer good feeling from whole buying car experience, rather than focusing on bargaining to much. I went to the dealer ordered car and months after I bought it I received check in mail from Solitaire Automotive for $1000.00 saying "discount".
Mind you, I got the car for fair price when I compared to the price that some other forum members paid.

MDI can be fitted after purchase, but you can still ask dealer if they can fit it before you pick the car up (that's what I would do).

Finnaly get $41000 drive away.

Pepper Grey Tiguan 125TSI DSG, Bix, Leather, Comfort and Fog.

Not going to throw numbers around (was a trade in), but as Transporter said the whole new car buying experience was excellent.

Can't wait to take on the delivery!!

You'll be stoked when you pick it up though.
And the 125's do extremely well from a simple remap of the ECU for power/torque gains and a better than average fuel economy (when driven for the conditions of course)

Having said that, I did received an email last month that my car is scheduled to be built on the week 44. Expected delivery January, any idea on the accuracy of that estimation??

If it helps ... mine is actually arriving two weeks ahead of schedule (mid-December). Ordered back in July:

CANDY WHITE 147TSI (DSG)
Leather
Alarm
MDI
Sunroof
Bi-Xenon
Park Assistance
Adaptive Chassis Control
Off-Road Technology
Rear Boot Trim Chrome

So definitely the case (i.e. 6 months wait), if you tick most of the boxes.

Yeah ... rattles inside the cabin & sunroof.

But VW keeps throwing them in for free in their South African plant.

Hopefully (this time) German plant are not so generous.

I certainly hope so, the last W203 C class that I own was SA build and to be quite honest the build quality wasn't that impressive.

On the other hand, the German built W204 C class that I drive currently is solid as a rock.

All tiguan's are built at the Wolfsburg facility in Germany.

You can get ABT bodykits from ramspeed if you have the dough to blow.

The problem is the dough to blow is about 20% of the cost of the car
With that dosh you could be at stage 2 + other mods (springs, wheels, good rubber etc)
