Tiguan in Transit

As far as I can make out via the WWL website, there's 55 MY11 Tiguans on their way to Sydney (or Port Kembla to be exact) with an ETA of 18/11/2010.

One of them happens to be mine!

But who else here is in the same boat (pardon the pun)?

She's called the Morning Camilla and is currently sailing towards South Africa.

Corey_R in MK6 section is also tracking the Morning Camilla. He has pictures of the ship in the sea as well.

It's good it's getting close, probably 5-6 weeks and you get the keys.

That's why you gotta love the WWL website!

According to their Trade Route Schedule and based on the date you've been given, yours could be on the "Torrens".

Also was slightly amused for a second to see that in Feb next year, some Vee Dubs will be arriving in a Tarago.


Anyhow, if you know your Tig's VIN, you can confirm for sure by searching for it using this link:

Using the link, I found that my shipment is on the Boheme, which is scheduled to arrive at Port Kembla on 29 November 2010. So much for the accuracy of the dealer's estimated delivery date of 20 November 2010. It will be well into December before I can get my hands on the car.

According to the manifest, she's got 625 Vee Dubs alone, inside.

The Morning Camilla has left Melbourne and is on its way to Port Kembla.

According to the AIS website: MORNING CAMILLA - 9477919 - Vessel's Details and Current Position, it will arrive on 2010-11-18 15:30 (UTC) or 2010-11-19 01:30 (Sydney time).

Just checked the status of my Tig, it's on board DON QUIJOTE. It's on its way to South Africa, expected arrival date in Brisbane 04/01/11

Finally ... my wait is over!

Got the call from the dealer to pick up my baby anytime I want!

Conceived in early July. That makes it a full 5 month gestation period.


Anyhow, I definitely will be stripping off the stock 17" Bostons with tyres (by this weekend) to sell!

Just forgot to ask however (in the excitement) what tyres they came with.


Anyone looking for a set of new tyres and/or perhaps a wheel upgrade also in the process?

Actual pics and tyre details will be posted in a separate official "sell" thread after taking delivery.

But PM me now if you wanna call "shotgun" on them.
