  • Delivery Schedule 2010

Can anyone clarify the build schedule for 2010 Tig's.

We ordered our 147 at the end of February and have been given an estimated delivery date of 30th June 2010, not sure how long it takes to build the car and ship it to Australia but I've been informed one of the options I added two weeks after ordering has been missed and if I still want it another 4 weeks will be added to the delivery time.

    Thanks for your time.

    I ordered 28 January 2010.
Was advised of a Delivery date of Mid June.

Take back a week or 2 for customs etc, a month for shipping and a month for production and building should start early April

Will update if i hear anything.

      Thanks V,

I know it along time to wait but we were willing to accept the timeframe to have everything factory fitted and have the car delivered with nothing else to do (except APR), I hope the dealer can have it sorted out without having to wait longer.

It's been hell counting down since January.
Especially when the MK6 forums is very active about their cars being built and put on a ship.

At least its down to 2 months now!
I didn't have any options so i figured t would be a quick build process bu alas, still April build and June delivery and no word from the dealer.
Has given me a chance to arrange for my stubby antenna and vwwc sticker though

It's great that you can track it! Wish I'd known about that with my Tig..

Does anyone know if their are any differences between the '09 and '10 Tiguan? And If yes, what they are?
Mine's a November '09 build, but February '10 complied; the dealer said this makes it a '10 Tiguan, but still unsure...

              November 09 build is a MY10 Tiguan.
MY is like financial year so anything built between June 09-May 10 will be the MY10 model
Sometimes they do minor tweaks between MY years.

The MY09 had a different colour interior lighting (red/blue i think) where as the MY10 has white lighting and footwell lighting standard.

Your rego papers should show the year as 2010... so it's officially a 2010 Tig. And you can advertise it as such when you sell it in future.

                    Almost here!

Well, the wait for me is almost over.

My Tig (ordered in the first week of December) arrived in Melbourne on Friday.

Now the wait for it to clear customs and then get to the dealer!

Hopefully we'll have it by the end of the month!

                      Man you must be stoked!

Let us know how long it takes to clear customs and all that jazz until delivery so we can have a best guess at when our cars will be ready in May if you can please.

                        Definitely will do!

I still can't believe it's been over 4 months since we ordered it!

Will keep you guys dated as to when it's finally ready for collection.

Mine will arrive at the dock's 30 days from now if it stays on schedule.
That will place it 98 days from ordering.
Add on another 3 weeks for customs, ADR compliance and dealer delivery and it makes 4 months (119 days) since ordering.

At least I get the spec I am after.

                            V,

No word on ours yet, I'll just keep on them and hopefully receive some news soon, good to see that other people are getting their notifications.

I'll just keep staring at the brochure!

I would be checking up with them every week TENKAN.
Yours should be built this week so they should have news of the VIN either this week or by next week you would assume.

Best of luck with the wait, i know it gets worse when you know it's on it's way though
