Congrats on the new machine. Sorry about the sunroof though, it creates a lovely ambience in the car. No worries with everything you have, especially the leather.
    Enjoy!

Congrats on the new addition to the family...

We have a great combo in our family - my wife drives it smoothly and I flog it! So far motor-wise it's been very very good.

I agree with GolfMan and Transporter. Only thing I would add is once your water temp gets to normal, give it another few minutes. This will make sure that the engine is fully warmed up.

          Totally loving the Tig.

I used to arrange all my meetings on one day so I didn't have to drive every day, but now I'm making sure they are all on different days so I get out for a drive every day!

Yes, that's what I am doing - I've got the MFD set to show oil temp so I'm driving it calmly until that hits about 70-75 degrees. Water temp shows 90 degrees way before this.
Once it is totally warm the oil temp seems to go between 90 & 100 degrees - is this right?

Had a short glitch yesterday - turned on the autohold and a short time later got an ESP error. The next time I stopped at traffic lights the autohold worked, the error light was still on. When I went to drive off it wouldn't release the brakes, even tried turning the handbrake on and off.
Turned the car off & on again, this let me drive off. The error light was still on and a couple of minutes later it just went off. Nothing more strange since.

How did you manage to do that? I haven't seen such an option and would dearly like it. Did it involve playing with VCDS/Vagcom, or was it just one of the options in the MFD settings menu?

So did you manage to take her out for a good drive this weekend then? How did it go, and where did you go?

Oil temp is just one of the options in the MFD menu - its in the menu with fuel consumption etc.

No didn't get out for a big drive. Spent yesterday afternoon getting my old car ready to sell - cleaning the tiny black spots off the white paint of my old car and not getting too far... should have just paid a detailler. last ditch will be to try WD40 & then thinners...
