So PhilVW taking in account the delays for build time (week 20) when would be a good time to order a Tig to gain a MY11 model - would another 6 weeks be correct ???.

I can not tell tell you a specific date. Volkswagen Australia may bring orders forward if a international order falls off it does happen sometimes fingers crossed.... .. You could place an order with your local dealer requesting an my2011 and wait till they can confirm my2011 production. Hope this helps.

So did your new Tig come with the new climate control panel?

Any chance you could take some pics?

My Tig should be built this week and I'd love to get the new climate control panel - though I would have though that they would only change that for the MY11.

Just heard from Highway Auto.
They have provided me with a factory issued com number.

I have no idea what it is but i don't think you can begin to track the car until you get the Vin number.

Have been advised that the car is set for delivery by mid June which is the current build schedule.

Well I've ended up settling for a December 09 build, just got the VIN and looks like its either been dropped off in melb or on its way to Port Kembla.
Had to delete park assist, not too fussed about that I only ordered it for the front sensors.

Hopefully not much difference in resale after 5 years between a dec 09 and a jan/feb/mar 2010...

it'll be worth it having the car in just a few short weeks!

ChrisJ, with the resell value, they will be the same as Dec 2009 and Jan 2010. They work on the compliance plate, whick will say 2010.

I orderded my car with all the options I wanted, and was told that I have to wait till June...

I ended up to get a car with less options, and build in Nov 2009 but compliance plate will be 2010 and it is a 2010 model. The car arrived in Sydney Feb 11 2010. It took around three months to landed in Australia and then another 2 weeks to get to the car yard.

I'll get my car this friday. yippie.

Dealer should contact you with the Vin when it is provided by the factory.

However the next build schedule for the tiguan is April/May so i wouldn't expect anything until end of March/April.
