  • Changing radio stations on multi-function steering wheel

We have a new Tiguan, and have put about 8 stations into the radio memory. The buttons on the steering wheel, however, do not scroll through all of these but instead just scroll through 3 or 4.

Can anyone advise how to make it so that I can use the buttons to surf across each of my preset stations?

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I found that annoying too. I'm not sure there is a workaround for it... at least, not that I saw in the manual or anything. Hopefully someone else has found a way though.

you can change the setting to scroll through preset channels only. can't remember exactly how but u need to go through the setup function (right hand button on the deck) look for a 'SW' option and change that to preset channels only. Let me know if you can't find it, and i'll go through mine and list out the step-by-step instruction.

not sure if I have missunderstood but the MFD on the dash needs to be set so you can see the stereo (radio) data; that is page through from trip computer read out to radio settings (assume you know how to do that); once you have the radio up on the MFD, you can scan through presets

we have a 147 with the RNS510 so it might differ, but when I come to think of it my old Touareg and MK5 Golf was the same

I couldn't find a way to fix this. The MFD settings don't seem to cover the audio, or at least the steering controls for the audio. Will call the VW dealer...

                  Hi All,
Just picked up my Tig yesterday and have found all the radio station preset, some of them has got name attached to station, ie, B105, Nova, but I haven't figure out how to name the station yet.

For changing radio station on the steering wheel, I just switch MFD to display audio functions. When I was listening to radio, scrolling up/down button gave me different stations that i can listen to, from both FM1 and FM2 (prob no one preset the AM stations). When you put the CD/MPS in, MFD switches to CD function where you can scroll through the songs in the media.

Got to go through the manuals to figure out all the buttons and functions in the car... not a bad idea for bed reading

Ok, I figured this out. You need to play with the setup in the radio, not via the MFD on the wheel. One of the options is to have scrolling through your presets, or ALL stations available. Easy, I chose the presets, problem solved.

Thanks all for your help on this one.
