Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    ElsaWin 3.7

    Hi guys.

    I bought a copy of ElsaWin 3.7 off eBay and got the discs today. I installed it (it's huge!) and had a play around. Seems very comprehensive in covering all the parts of the can and how to remove/install them. Nice illustrations too.

    If anyone needs some info I cna take a look for you (though I can't make any promises). I'm still figuring out how it works

    What the hell is it?

      It is supposedly what the dealers use to do detailed jobs. So basically any job you have to do is covered. They're like a Bentley manual on computer. Great illustrations of how to dismantle and install items in the vehicle. I have the 2009-04 data which supposedly covers any VW models to date.

        We used to use ElsaWin. Now it's all online. That way, it is constantly updated.

            Yeah, erWIN is what a non-dealership could use. It's very similar to elsaWIN, however you'll pay a fee in Euros to use it.

              are you sure it covers tiguans? Doesn't list it on ebay?

                            OK, thanks. Might contact him or do bit more searching when have time. Not urgent or anything, just thought it would be handy for looking up part numbers if required (save dealer stuffing up).
