Hi Guys,
Does anybody know if you can purchase a smaller aerial than the standard one that comes on the tig (103tdi)
I often use a car cover to cover it up when its hot but have to unscrew the antenna to avoid bending it.

Also, sorry - the "coming home" headlight feature, I have it switched it to stay on for 20 seconds when you lock the doors, but the headlights dont actually come on.
I read the manual but cant find why they wouldnt come on.

Saying that, when I unlock the doors (remote key) the headlights come on...

I ordered one from Dub Addiction which arrived yesterday (very good service). It looks great and works great. I plan on keeping the long one for when we go to the country.

Nibot, just to confirm, it fits in ok with the SatNav sharkfin ? Ive got a 147 with factory fit SatNav, I noticed the aerial is tight against the sharkfin, just wanted to make sure the compact aerial fitted in ok before ordering one

And it screws all the way down? Interesting. It must be slightly different to the ones that come on MY08 Golfs which required the thread to be trimmed a little bit to fully screw on.

installation takes 5 seconds...
unscrew the original...
screw in the new one!

Driving around town I haven't noticed any radio reception issues...
although in an underground shopping centre in town it did cut out to static.
Can't remember though if the original did that anyway.

Can always put the original back on my Tig next time I go into the Canberra Centre.

Driving around though - is fine.

OEM Sharan Antenna Replica

Just ordered one of these from Dub addiction myself. My wife picked up our new Tig today and tells me the Antenna hit the Garage Roof on the way in. Garage door doesn’t quite open all the way but that’s another story. Hope the new one arrives quickly.
