  • VW Corporate Pricing Program

Hi guys, im looking at buying a tiguan in the next few weeks. Im just wondering what you would suggest in the negotiation stages? Should i try and get the best price possible and then at last minute throw at them the corporate program pricing?

I found out info on the the discount stucture - there is corporate (5- 24 cars in fleet) and corporate plus (25+ cars in fleet). Corporate gives 5% disc off list price and dealer delivery for $995. corporate plus gives a 10% disc off list price and the same dealer delivery.

    Any help would be great

Well it will depend on where you go. Generally they won't go past the total corporate discount especially if you have to order one.

Try your best though in negotiations, they're more likely to move on accessories than on the price of the car past corporate.

Also it will depend on which company you work for / organisation you're in as to the level of discount.

My advice would be to go to more than one place to see what their 'corporate' price is - I found that it can change a bit - they try to keep the cream from the top.

Hi, a good friend who is a pretty good negotiator works for a large company that gets the corporate discount. He was buying the car privately and vw still gave him the discount.

The deal was 10% off rrp for the car and any accessories or options offered by vw. He couldn't get any better than that anywhere and bought himself a nice new GTI.

      cheers

If you pick a car in stock you can usually get a bigger discount as per some suggestions above.

I'd recommend a Car Broker. I used http://www.carbroker.com.au and was impressed with ability to get a deal. Plus, it saved the hassle and time of visiting dealers to negotiate, etc.

I used Privatefleet to source my R36 and was impressed with the deal they got me.

                I used privatefleet.
They managed to get $1000 off RRP and mettalic paint ($800) thrown in.

Took the deal to another dealer and said beat it and i will sign and they did, so i signed and saved the $178 membership fee with privatefleet.

The discounts only start to roll in when you have a coupkle of options, i had nothing to bargain with, just a stock tiguan in white.

I was offered the corporate pricing program for a new Multivan, but I had to be a member of an appropriate organisation. This just means taking out membership with an organisation that is on their corporate list - assuming you are elligible for membership ... I think the discount was 10% - better than I could get with haggling.

For any quotes please email me

                      Hi David.

The discount of $3000 would bring a stock tiguan down to what price exactly?

Assumably this would be off the base drive away price of $37,990 as quoted from the tv advert so the price should be 34,990 drive away for a base spec tiguan?

It depends on what the rego and ctp costs are but yes you would be looking at approx$35,000 for a white Manual 125tsi

                          Bugger!

I signed the contract for 37k last week for mine and the only option was floor mats and blue paint.
Still have to wait for delivery in June.
If only i had known this last week.

I used a Corporate buying service via my work, and obtained approximately a $12,000 (after tax ) discount off my new Multivan; from a total of about 67K on the road (with some minor options) down to 55k on the road ie 18% discount. This also bought it below the luxuary case tax threshold.

                            Regards,

                            Scott
