  • Tiguan Boot mats

Does anyone know if there are any boot mats out in there in the market for the Tiguan? Or the only option is to buy originals from the dealer? Any pricing indication?

Awaiting delivery of my Tig TDI. Was delivered to port on 27th Oct. Dealer says 4 weeks for compliance etc. Taking too long.

Try eBay mate. I got my floor mats off eBay and they had boot mats too.

Hope time doesn't slow down too much for you as you wait to take delivery mate!

Super cheap auto, Clark Rubber, Repco.
When I saw genuine one I wanted to buy for our Treg; I have to admit that anything from Supercheap would be better and much cheaper that the polystyrene foam from the dealer that looked more like a meat tray that boot protector. So be careful if you order one from the dealer and you see the picture only.

Search on Ebay you will find alot of different mats available. Try ebay.com (US) and you will find all sorts of bits and pieces for your tiguan.

Might as well take advantage of the current exchange rate

The boot tray looks nice, can't find something similar on-line anywhere.

Did you get these ones from ebay? And if so, how good are they? My wife wants mats however she doesn't think these ones will cut the mustard and is wanting dealer mats.

As for boot mats/liners, has anyone tried these?

Yip, those are the ones. I've had them 12000km's now and I have noticed the one on the drivers side has worn quite a lot. So they are not that hard wearing it seems. The others are fine though. What I'll probably do is get a header wearing piece of carpet for the drivers side and leave the other mats as they are still fine.

We got the genuine VW carpet mats front and back, plus the genuine VW rubber boot mat all part of our sales "discussion" with our dealer. I must say that so far all of it looks excellent. The fit and quality is what we expected.
I can post pics but I'm sure we've all seen carpet and rubber before.

Picked up the rubber mats from the dealer today. Fit like a glove and are way cheaper than the car mats. Also a hell of lot easier to clean. Even the rear ones fit perfectly and so wont slide around (which i was worried about with no lug attachments).

Just got to get me one of those rubber boot liners for $115 (non-dealer) and I'll be set.

Thanks Thats a lot cheaper than carpet mats. Did you get a special price or was that the RRP? We are getting our Tig in December I was going to get after market mats but maybe genuine rubber mats would be better.

RRP. The carpet mats were around $350 I think....couldn't justify this cost.

I reckon you could easily do some dealing with the dealer when purchasing the car to get the rubber mats thrown in for free for sure. We didn't think about it at the time unfortunately.

I also enquired about mud flaps....bugger me, not cheap.....over $400 fitted.

I reckon you could get them cheaper when getting the car serviced as they have to take the wheels off then so would be cheaper to fit at that stage.
