Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Purchased new 125 with Extras!

    Hi all.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Just a quick one, my Father has just this weekend had delivery of his 125TSI, very nice. He opted for leather seats, with the comfort pack. But we seem to have got more than what we paid for!!! He is not complaining, but have the new models had extras added as standard?

He got fog lights, footwell lighting and the additional interior lighting (centre console and the door handles).

The dash is also lit up in White and the MFD is White on Black not Black on Red.

    Cheers

    Jon

Comfort pack gave me the usual plus I got the overhead console with glasses holder thingo, ambiance lighting (footwell and red led's from o'head console, doors etc). But I didn't get fog lights. Good pickup!

Sounds like you may have got the comfort pack?

The ambient lighting is pretty cool and the car lights up like a Christmas tree at night!

Yes, Dealer advised we've got some extras upon our 147 TSI delivery in Sept

and it does have all of the above described things, apparently its an MY10 built, but made in 2009!! didnt quite get that, but yeah looks like it was a good thing! I had no idea how the my10 was meant to be anyway! lol

                Cheers

Usually after July they begin making the next years shape, so by the time they are made and arrive at the dealers its close to 2010.

Come July 2010 they will begin making the MY11 Tiguans.

Everything stops for Summer vacation in Europe and US, this is the time they revamp the factories for new model.
Model Year is NOT the same as build year - all cars have their birthday on Jan 1st.
