Love the braking power of the Tig, hopefully it stays that way. I found that after lots of slow stops (city driving) the brake generates a squeal, to fix it, I deglazed the brake occasionally. Basically run the vehicle up to 60km/h and brake hard (when safe of course), do this two or three times every few thousand k or so, this has fixed the squealing problem in both my vehicles.

I'm in the Tiguans brakes are too servo'd...and would prefer if they were powerful and less touchy. There about right with a trailer and load.
When it's time for pads and / or rotors I'll be using non VW bits.
I can't really recall the pedal pressure but an F1 needs~120kg pressure for full application or so I thought...point being is braking power is distinct from sensitivity.

And even more impressive that the 1640kg V6 RAV4 is in 3rd place. Note: Must try harder Tiguan.

I always had a good brakes and Tiguan's brakes suit me well. Most people get used to them.
Even plan to put slotted discs front and rear for even better braking.
