The car sends commands via the CAN bus to power up/power down different components at different times. The AVC9000 is not recognising these signals and staying powered up which drains the battery, this is the fault of the manufacturer and shows a lack of testing.
Personally I wouldn't be doing any dodgy relay "hacks" because if something goes wrong with the CAN bus you can bet that this is where the dealer will point the finger at. This is an ugly suggestion and IMO is a poor permanent fix for what is a faulty product.
