  • Tiguan passenger door won't open

Hi Everyone, I'd appreciate your help... The front passenger door in my 147 TSI will not open. From memory, during the delivery process, I was able to open the door from the inside. But, ever since then (about 4 weeks), whoever sits in that seat can't get the door open. It works fine when I open it from the outside. I've looked all through my manual but can't find the solution. There are obviously no child locks on the front doors. I'm stumped... and hoping there is a simple solution. If anyone has any ideas, I'd really be grateful.

Sounds as if the inner handle has somehow become unattached from the mechanism. It's not an electronic operation so presumably there's a cable that connects the handle to the mechanism and maybe it's jammed or just "fell off" or something ?? Sounds like a dealer job to me unless you're prepared to risk braking clips pulling the door panel off yourself ?

Have a look at this thread on VWVortex http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4527920 It shows inside the doors and you can see the cable with a little hook on the end that I assume goes to the door handle. That's what I suspect has fallen off ?

    Cheers
