Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

A customer service lady talked me into buying a protection package after I put down a deposit. The protection is called Crystal Elements including window tint. It costs $1599. I think I got ripped off. (don't know what got into me at that time ) I am thinking of calling her to cancel it and I don't think she can stop me, can't she? I used Barloworld dealership.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers

Yep its crap, i got the street legal tint put on my wifes old MKV trendline and org'd it through a friend that was "that" lady at the VAG dealership. I paid cost price and it was $135 for the tint, she said they pay around $90 for the film + fitting. Never enquired on paint protection but i would just skip it and put Zaines on it. My GTI had paint protection on it when i got it but i reckon its washed off by now. Save the bucks.
