Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Car radio replacement

    Hi there,

Not sure whether it's OK to post this here. I'm a proud owner of a Tig but also a *modestly* proud owner of a 1993 Toyota Camry V6 which has served me well. However the radio is coming to an end and I'm looking at replacing it with a lower to mid range radio. My only requirement is that it comes with a USB input or SD card input. I've been to JB Hifi and have seen a Pioneer and a Kenwood selling for about $240 which comes with a USB input. And with these I'm able to scroll through my mp3 files on the radio head like how I would with the MDI on my Tig.
Does anyone know where I can get a better deal for car radios? And someone who can fit them without charging an arm and a leg?

    Thanks

    Try www.ryda.com.au
Clarion or Pioneer would be my choice, Pioneer for their reliable and their own DVD/CD drive.

P.S. I think you should post it in Audio section.
