Are you planning on doing this with coilovers? Have found the Eibach springs to be a really good mod for a slight lowering (~30mm) & improved handing characteristics.
Thanks for that. The Eibach springs are what I keep hearing about and the 30mm drop wouild be perfect as I don't want to go too low - just to improve the look of the new wheels which look a little lost in such big arches.
Have you any pics of your ride please?

Sounds like a plan! Got family from overseas visiting at the moment so might have to wait a few weeks before we tee up! Good to have a fellow Watercooled member in the west side!
19 x 8.5 ET35. No spacers. They are virtually flush with the arches. This size & offset would be on the limit of upping the spec's without running into troubles, i reckon!
One thing i have noticed since fitting the springs is that when on full steering lock, the tyres on the road seem extra grippy-scrapey... There's probably a term for it, but kind of like if you imagine being in a proper four wheel drive, trying to turn tightly with the diff-lock on, on a hard surface.

Hi can you elaborate on that statement as I wasn't sure if you meant it was a problem or not? From what I read it looks like your tyres rub on full lock? If so what size are your tyres?
I also have 19x8.5 but et28. I have the R Line flared arches but will soon be installing 15mm spacers all round which will then make them completely flush how I like it. I will post up pics when done.

No, not rubbing on anything, all clear there, just the rubber sort of trying to push sideways-ish a bit on the bitumen when on full lock. I moved in with my girlfriend about the same time as getting the springs installed & have to turn quite tightly to park in her drive. It's probably no worse than before, it's just that i notice it more when doing it on a daily basis...
Over here in Aust, i was charged 330 for spring fitment & 110 for 4 wheel alignment. On these figures (guessing they charge 150 per hour + GST), i would say 2 hours. Probably around half an hour allowed for the wheel alignment on top of that.
Get the springs!
EDIT! Maybe they charge 100 per hour x 3 hours + GST? Not sure...
How low are you going to go? How about something like this?
Not sure if anyone's posted these in this thread but this is what a Tig looks when you lower it... I mean really lower it not just 35mm with your H&R springs
