That may very well be the expected wait now - I ordered mine towards the end of November and should have her in my garage by first week of April.

Around 4 1/2 months in total.

When did you order? And may I ask what options you order and what you paid?

    + 18" rims

    $56,250

    Thoughts?

I placed an order and car was originally scheduled for delivery in June, then nadcon said it would be August but as of last week nadcon screen shot shows delivery will be around may/June. Until its on a ship I'm not going to know the final delivery date.

    @Doggie:

I told our dealer what we were after and asked for a final drive away price. I negotiated from there. I believe the initial offer (for our package) was somewhere between $52-55K, depending on the dealership. We are salary sacrificing the Tig, not sure if that makes a difference???

    @Toby:

Yeah. I don't want to say your dealer is telly you stories, it could be possible that he can source a Tig in your preferred configuration from somewhere else in Australia. Or it might be already on a boat and hasn't been allocated/sold yet. Maybe even sb cancelled their order, who knows...

Otherwise we ordered ours in mid January and will take delivery in June/July (have to check date)....

    Hey Gecko,

Was just going off what the guy said at the dealership. 8 weeks is a lot different than 24.

I'm in no rush to get the car, but 6 months is ages. Ha. I mean that would push it out til at least August maybe even September. By that time they're probably already taking pre-orders for the next model.

Is it 10% off the Driveaway price or the price excluding the on the road costs?

    Is that d/a Gecko?
custom orders generally have a 5-6months waiting time. 1-2 months would mean you jump the queue at production and your Tig gets put on a speed boat. If your car is already on the way and/or available somewhere in the country then it sounds reasonable.

And yes it is d/a. No corporate discount used, it is a bit less then 10% off the RRP.

10% is always a good aim, otherwise see if they throw in extras and/or (boot-)mats etc

    Hi Doggie,

Similar quote to mine, except swap the ACC for the SatNav.

I am hoping I can get it down to low 50's, say 52 or around there. Not sure if that's overly ambitious or not.

1-2 months sounds quite reasonable I think.

I was prepared to pay for a Golf R but the missus mentioned something about needing a bigger car. *sigh*

So here's my wish list. I went to carsales and configured up a brand new Tiguan 155TSI DSG:

    Price Guide Total $42,990*
    + On Road Cost $2,997
    + Extras $8,850
    + Dealer Delivery Price $2,295

    Drive Away Price NSW $57,132

    Options
Pepper Grey Metallic (I don't wash my cars much)
    Adaptive Chassis Control
    Camera Rear Vision
    Bixenon with cornering lights
    Leather + Electric
    Park Assist 2

I wouldn't have minded a 132TSI but why did they change the DSG to a Tiptronic?

so whats the target I should be going for?

Was enquiring about a 155 Tiguan at my local Volkswagen dealer and was told that a custom order would be around 1-2 months. So seems fair dinkum.

They did not have much to choose from on the lot, i.e none of them had any options on them. So a custom order is basically a must.

    Is that d/a Gecko?

I want; DSG, Leather, Comfort, Satnav, Bi-Xenon, Metallic paint.

At this stage not too fussed whether it be the 132 or 155. But was quoted $57K (155) and $53K (132, including larger rims) D/A. This was just the initial enquiry, so no haggling on price.

Does anyone know if there is much stock in the country at the moment?

I put in an order two weeks ago for either a blue or grey 155TSI and was initially told they could get a blue one from SA. I have since been told by my dealer there is none in the county and the best they can do is at least 6 weeks away on a boat. Bull**** or fair dinkum?
