hey guys, just wondering what you think would be a realistic price on a new tiguan 125tsi? i have listed all the full cost prices so any help from anyone that got a similar model/extras would be great

    list $33990
    metallic paint $800
    sunroof $2000
    comfort pak $1000
    media interf $270
    stamp duty $1141
    =======
    $39201 + on road costs (i reckon $995 dealer delivery + 680 rego etc)

I have my own company so i may qualify for corporate pricing (would be the 5% disc level i think)

What do u think the best plan of attack is? hehehhe

    thanks guys

Rule of thumb, with Corp pricing, you should get about 10-15% off list drive away pricing. Look at the spreadsheet below.

see # 135 further up this thread, for price we paid on our 125 tsi

price will depend on whether ordered or whether dealing with something a dealer has in stock. Ours was in stock, so thats part of the reason we got a good deal.

check your price against ours re options etc (towbar on ours was around $1400) and that should give you a good idea.

You may well do even better as a corporate buyer.

Does the Fed gov 50% apply in your case?

You'll love the 125tsi, IMO, its the best one. It goes well as it is, and is good on fuel if driven economically, especially as the manual. The 125 has the added bonus that you can upgrade the power at 'minimal' cost. Check out the tuning threads if you would like more go, about 20 others have done already and we'll be doing the APR stage 1 upgrade on ours - lifts power and torque from 125kw and 280nm to 190kw and 400nm . Not only that but if you drive it economically most of the time, your fuel economy can improve too

A broker just got back to me at $39900 drive away! do you think $37000 is a realistic figure?

          • Oh nice number. I am after a 125 TDI auto, leather, sunroof, mdi, comfort pack, metallic, alarm, tint, bluetooth, fogs. I am based in Melbourne. Any ideas of a good number. Oh I also want a 2010 build.
I have seen the spreadsheet but want to know who has had a good dealing with dealers in Melbourne.

Are you able to get the 125 diesel in Ausi now ? we can only get the 103 still as far as I'm aware and I had heard that the 125 was only available in manual (possibly due to torque issues with the auto box).

              Cheers

assuming this is on a vehicle in stock, harder to get a great bargain on an order.

For comparison, details for our purchase are:
                33,900 manual 125 TSI
                800 metallic paint
                1,400 park assist
                300 off road technology
                1,300 towbar and wiring
                94 boot mat
                125 floor mats
ADD that up and just for the car you get $37,919, without adding dealer delivery, stamp duty and rego
WE paid $37,000 drive away (ie $1000 less than list price plus NO on roads). In our case a saving of about $4500. Watch dealer delivery, for VWs quite significant - often well over $2000 in country centres.

That is a pretty awesome deal.
Not sure if the fog lights are worth it seeing they are to be made illegal soon but i guess it fills the gap.

Any chance of letting us know what 19's you have planned?

I am going that road as well when i get mine, 19's for street and keeping the stock 16's for softroading.

They look the goods with the black backing and polished spokes.

                        Sounds like a great ride.

Does that price include dealer delivery, registration and other on-road costs?

If not then you should be able to haggle them down a bit.

Yes that is all inclusive. I also get a year extra warranty i.e. 4 years warranty along with a 7.5% discount on service and parts. Sadly they are located too far away for me to bother with regular servicing with them. Is it still a good deal?

                              • Cheapest i could see for those specs, drive away was a little over 48.2K.
                                Original car = 38.1K
                                auto + options = 10.1K

You managed to shave between 4-5K off the price of the options and get an extra year warranty and reduced price on parts.

                                Prety good deal i reckon.
