Black Tiguan 147 - Sat Nav - Leather - Sunroof - Aftermarket audio - Diamond Audio splits + 12" sub/Audison Bitone processor/Arc Audio amps
The order is in, just waiting on the boss to approve it.
Am guessing he'll want me to make up the difference between a ****ty Ford G6E and the Tig but if that happens then I'll think about it - it's about $7K difference (ouch).
Rollercoaster of emotions continues!

hmm, have I got this right - $7000 for a 147 Tig worth $55000? Seems like a bargain to me.
Went into a dealer yesterday with a friend, using the spreadsheet we decided to just say we wanted 12% off driveaway RRP. No haggling, just a 15 minute wait while the dealer went to check with the "boss", came back, shook hands and the deal was done...now thinking it was too easy and we could have done a little better!
We both got the corporate rate.
I've ordered this for $47k driveaway:
103TDI Auto
Silver Leaf
Black Leather
Comfort Pack
Towbar
Park Assist (just for the front sensors, bit annoying really...)
My friend got this for $47k as well
147TSI
Silver Leaf
Black Leather
Scammed us with the stamp duty a little though, during negs said it was $1600 and then the contract came back with $1338. Will see if I can negotiate to add the off-road technology when he calls back with the delivery date...

I'm pretty sure stamp duty is a % of the purchase price, so if you saved 12% off the purchase price, then you would have saved 12% off the stamp duty as well.
agree with others, much better negotiating position with a car in stock
we got a blue 125TSI, park assist, off road, towbar, with floor and boot matts for $37,000 on the road. Without the tow bar would have been closer to $35,500 on the road. Note this was negotiated on the basis of a fleet discount, which by their mistake they realised they couldn't do in the end, but they ended up doing it retail as close as they could get.
from South Yarra Volkswagen. They were very good to deal with.

VW Aust demand a fleet letter from the dealer to offer such a bigger discount so you must be lucky. I got my Tig from this dealer so you were lucky. They never offered a good warranty extension on a Golf mind you. Abbotsford service centre where your Tig was predelivered is awesome in size and they are friendly to deal with. I had a trim swapped over with no problems while I waited. Congrats also.
TIGUAN MY09 103 TDI auto, White,18in Alloys,MDI ,Bk Leather, Comfort Pack, Park Assist, Fog Lights, Sun-roof & Tow Bar / VW roof racks running Goodyear Assymetric 2 Tyres
GOLF 7 MY14.5 Pure White,TDI Bi-Xenon, S/roof,Adaptive CC, DAP, Leather, Pirelli Tyres .
thanks guys, yes we were happy with the deal, was largely sorted out one saturday arvo over the phone!
I also have friends who bought some TDIs in northern NSW
$38 odd thou, for a white TDI manual, comfort pack and towball
$40 odd thou, for a silver TDI auto, with comfortpack
Cant remember if they got the off road or not, but thats only a $300 option anyway
They bought both at the same time, so a good start and bought in her name they were able to link to a deal for professional associations, but again they seem to have got an excellent deal by other prices I have seen here.
The options of course can push things up pretty quick and in all these cases we have gone for Tigs with only a few options and none of the really pricey ones.
Our blue was in the end a retail deal, so in my experience as a guide, if you go hard on one in stock they can do the Tigs at a bit less than their total list price (ie base list price plus any options) with no on roads. Things may have changed but that was my experience.
