  • I think leather is worth it but then I have kids and the easy to clean factor is really helpful. Don't pay over the odds for it as it can be done aftermarket for about $2,000 (vs the $4,000 for it new from VW).

As for insurance costs, I have a 118TSI manual with leather, tinted windows, RNS-510+RVC, Rating 1 for life and 2 drivers over 40 with a $500 excess For all of this, I pay $525 per annum.
    MY08 Mk5 GT Sport - sold
    MY14 Tiguan 118TSI - sold (Mazda3 SP25GT in its place)
MY16 Golf 7R: sold (Caterham Super 7 and Hyundai i30N in its place)

    • Just put some money down on a 103TDI.
Went for the Wild Cherry Red. No other options fitted.
Should pick it up next week.

      • My wife and I went into denlo in parramatta this afternoon and were nicely surprised by the runout pricing as it's happened right when we've decided to finally buy a tig. They had 2 2013 models in the used lot and their sticker price was $500 higher than a new 2014 tig! We're hoping to buy a car by the end of this week. Fingers crossed.

          • Welcome and nice choice!

Yes there seems to be a few options that have dropped off the Tiguan options list which seems as little puzzling.

Unfortunately aftermarket bi-xenons are expensive as to be legal they need to be fitted with auto-levellers and washers.

yes, i was surprised too when i saw it first on redbook.com.au. enquiried with them and they confirmed it from volkswagen. bi-xenons would have been very nice with black R-line. for almost a month since they announced R-line in mid august i was expecting complete package like UK and US models

                          • hello badbatsy

welcome and a good choice on ordering the R-Line Tiguan. you'll most certainly enjoy driving it around

curious to hear you're buying from VW Wangara but you spoke with the Fleet manager at VW Osborne Park. Aren't these two different dealerships altogether?

                            • I've just bought the 130TDI Pepper Grey. $43,000drive away. Originally it was $44990 plus $700 for metallic paint plus I've got fixed price services for six years at $333 a year. The only problem I've found. Is that the sensors are inaudible and I have to book it in to have them adjusted. Through vds

                              • Looking at selling my 132TSI and getting a 155 R-Line.

What prices are people getting for these?

So far I have $44,500 with rubber floor mats, rubber boot tray and white paint.
