sounds like a 'good' deal to me. about 10% is what everybody seems to be getting. I mean the Tiguan is SOOOO popular atm, most dealers won't have to go down too much. At least not the bigger ones....
155 - leather, nav, metallic, 18" new yorks, bi-xenons, park assist. 55.5K
It will be interesting to see what happens, as I've agreed in part on Volkswagen Financing at 2.8%. The catch is the car needs to be delivered before the end of April.
I am aware of people's 6 month delivery dates, and mentioned this several times to the dealer. But both he and his 'boss' were very confident on landing something in that time.
MY12 155TSI TIGUAN - Comfort Pack, Beige Leather, Sat Nav, Bi-Xenons, 18" New York Alloys, Park Assist 2.
Thanks TobyJ82 for the pointer re 2.8% finance. Apparently this is a special deal offered by VW directly and only announced today. I am now considering pulling my order for the dream Tig and going for something close to what I want. Currently have the following on order:
Night blue 155
Panoramic sunroof
Nav
Corn beige leather
Adaptive chassis control
Park assist 2
Bi xenons
Alarm
Bman, the only proviso on the 2.8% is that the vehicle needs to be delivered by the end of April. With what I've read on here, that seems unlikely. However, my dealer was insistent that he could get something before then. I got them to put a clause on the contract, that the deal is subject to that delivery. Otherwise I can cancel.
Also, that seems like a pretty good quote. I was quoted 59K for the same minus sunroof and acc. Best of luck with the negotiation.

I read the reviews of the 132TSI but I thought we weren't getting DSG on the cars yet. Plus you don't really get better fuel consumption than the 155, even with the DSG.
The swap to tiptronic made the 132 Pacific Edition quite attractively priced with a lot of options as standard, but it's a Tiptronic. Which struck it out for me.
I appreciated the better standard equipment on the 155 like the wider tires etc as default. Plus it's a GTI engine with 4motion

Both the 132 and the 155 run the GTI engine with 4motion.
ido09s, use New Cars to find out what the base price should be and see what kind of deals the dealership will play ball with.
I wont buy a Pacific. Reason being that the auto has been put in to keep the car in production. There is a shortage of DSG boxes hence the birth of the Pacific. I am worried there will be a shortage of parts for the auto and the DSG will be the preferred car for used car buyers to purchase, hence making the Pacific worth even less
There are still plenty of DSG 132's floating around and nearly all of them have comfort pack. Average price seems to be about $40/$43k but i refuse to pay that. I have my reasons, but i dont want to pay much more than about $35k for a 132TSI DSG. Dont know that i will get one for that but time will tell.
I was hoping someone on here could tell me what they have gotten one for so i know how much i of a chance i have
I know they are both 2.0l turbocharged engines but I'd have thought there might be some strengthening of the higher powered one.
Nope, no difference, just de-tuned.
The strengthening happens in the pirelli/R/S3 type engines.
the 169 kW and higher versions have stronger pistons and gudgeon pins, new rings, reinforced connecting rods, new bearings, reinforced cylinder block at the main bearing pedestals and cap, new lightweight aluminium-silicon alloy cylinder head for high temperature resistance and strength, adjusted exhaust camshaft timing, increased cross-section high-pressure injectors, 1.2 bars (17.4 psi) (value only valid for Audi S3(8P)) boost pressure K04 turbocharger with larger turbine and compression rotor (S3, Cupra, GTI Edition 30), of which some components are NOT shared with the lower output variants
